Adoption Day 3 – 2nd meeting
Earlier today, I went to the BCA to get a background check on Brenda and Holly. The BCA told me I needed a letter from Brenda and Holly stating it was OK. I didn’t have a letter. I am now armed with the proper form from Crossroads and will try again on 6/7.
I went to our local police department to get a letter of endorsement (lack of criminal activity) from them. Again, I was able to get mine, but not Brenda’s or Holly’s. They’ll have to go there and get it themselves.
On 6/7, I’ll be going to the BCA and also to Hennepin County social services to submit other records requests.
We went to our 2nd adoption meeting tonight. It was about what we should expect when adopting, how to handle all the situations and emotions that come up and a lot on attachment issues. It was really good and very informative. We didn’t get any more paperwork to fill out
